Forget this, and they can't even stop you
SEGA, those pesky yet lovable scamps – they tried something new yesterday. Announce a game for the first time and then release 24 hours later. All very nice, all very clever. Problem is, the game in question was Football Manager. On your PHONE.
That’s right, FMH2010 (or Football Manager Handheld 2010 to give it’s full title) is now on the iPhone appstore. The game is a port (of sorts) of the PSP range of FM games, hence the “handheld” part of the title and that people is GOOD news indeed. Where before all you could play on your phone were crappy ports of small, simplistic java based efforts, now we have a fully fledged *proper* football manager game and after a quick play it looks like we’re all in trouble.
True, it looks pretty simplistic, the menus are very bland and functional, but we don’t care – it’s the stats stats STATS that we are here for, and we are not to be disapointed. A full chunky database worth of players and plenty of leagues (although only one at once you crazy cats) and we have everything we could ask for.
So, that’s it. Wave goodbye to “family time”, let the missus know that she will forever be sleeping next to a small glowing white light and get yourself involved. They can’t even stop you, it’s not a gaming machine, it’s a phone, and we need those right? Just in case the missus needs picking up from the shops or is about to give birth or other such nonsense.
£6.99 (stop being so cheap, that’s bloody pennies!) is the damage and it’s on the appstore now. GO!
Ahh shit-bergs. It was great on the PSP, absolutely brilliant. This probably is too. Arse.
